Part of the problem with Hood is that he can't do the full 80 which always means we have to have an option to rotate. Kay gave a good account of himself at 9 and has also provided cover in the backs which makes him a valuable member of the 17 when fit.
I would have liked to see Bowes get more opportunities as he seems both capable and fit enough to play longer minutes.

The momentum from the pass was bigger and so the ball was bound to land behind him- but he certainly affected the trajectory of that ball. Should never have been given . Correct call, there was no knock on. You do sometimes see them given but that the same with many rules. Sadly for us the ref got this one right.
