I've given Miller all the tolerance that I can over the years. I've constantly said he has all the attributes to be a top class SO but he's hit and miss and lacks consistency. He won't back himself and seldom makes a break. Come to think of it he's not on his own.
Our rugby style is not worthy of SL. coaching or quality of players? I don't know but the first thing I'd instill in my players is that a match lasts for 80 minutes not 40. I'd then tell them if you stand and wait at the PTB for an 18 stone forward to gain momentum and run at you, he's going to win not you!
I wish we had a Brad Drew or Danny Brough again because I'm more likely to make a break for the exit than our present 'playmakers' breaking through the opposition lines. I watched some dross in the1980's but this lot is coming close to that.'"
I understand what you are saying but my point was in answer to us having a game plan. We clearly don't go out to 'throw it around'. The game plan was working in first half. What went wrong was nothing to do with that.
Our attack, as you say, is blunt more often than not but for me its execution.
When Lomax gets a ball from Roby, it's right in his chest at speed. Miller has to jump to get it or pick up at his feet. No wonder we can't get the ball to the wings. And that's right across the team.
