| Have seen coaches in the past say that this is the real testing game over the Easter period....yes, the two close games are hard but the fatigue factor really kicks in the week after!
This will be where we see whether Willie got it right sending a weakened team to Wigan. The points difference hurt us, but it was a game we were never going to win...the previous week we threw everything at them and came up short so was a huge ask.
We've a good recent record at KR winning on 4 of our last 5 visits....if the players who were missing at Wigan were in fact rested/dropped and not injured and they come back in then we could be a totally different proposition.
In Fifita, Arona, Hood, Whitbread, Crowther there's 5 fresh forwards to come in and that will be a huge difference, as it would be with Max and TJ back in...Batchelor only played one of the Easter games too so there should be no lack of energy in the forwards.
KR had two much harder games than we had and only made 4 changes so there's no excuses and we should have the upper hand in the energy stakes and if one team is hit by the fatigue factor it shouldnt be us....confidence could win the day though as one team goes in off 5 straight wins against one off 3 straight losses! Not a lost cause though if we can put the last couple of weeks behind us and play how we have away at the likes of Saints, Catalans, Warrington...

| Well regarding this game I hope to see us go there and give KR a good go.
As mentioned we have Jowitt, TJ back in the backs.
We have Fifita, Arona, Whitbread, Crowther back in the forwards (hopefully).
Bowes most likely back too for interchange 9. Batch should have plenty energy in the tank.
We have Miller and Lino back pairing.
That’s a lot of positives for me.
The only dilemma for Poching for me is whether he puts Kay at 9 and goes with Murphy/Dave Tanivalu at wing.
Easter was tough but Poching and the team need to erase it from the minds with a clean slate and get back to what we were doing right in our batch of wins vs wire. Starting from the basics of necessery.
Poching needs to be strong in this period after Easter and this next 4 games is what will define our season looking at the fixtures. If the players truly want to be challenging with a chance of playoff rugby then these games are exactly where they need to be tough and earn the right with good old hard work.

| On our day we are not only capable of matching but beating HKR ,it really does depend on the mindset of the players getting off the coach on the day . No amount of training in the week will make an apeth of difference if they aren’t mentally up for the fight ,remember JJB stating that 80% of your performance is formed in the dressing room before the game ,get that right and your in with a shout . Get the attitude wrong and you’ve a Cas or even a Wigan performance to look forwards to . The shining light for me is as a supporter of many years these last Few games are part and parcel of Trinity’s DNA ,and no matter how many times we stamp our feet or voice our concerns and throw the teddy out over the years it’s still happening , but we always rally and shock a few of the big boys and you have to get them stashed in the memory banks to get you through the inevitable bad times. The roller coaster moves over to hull this weekend and it’ll be better than any funfair ride you’ve ever been on ,grab a ticket to see if you’ll be laughing or crying when the ride ends . I’m hoping its smiles all round .

Those set of words could apply to any team in super league really, simple question and I'm not trying to be provocative here just a simple supposition, supposing both teams are at their best who wins no fudging

On our day is based squarely at our hit and miss squad , I don’t think there are any other teams in the super league that have had as many calamity’s as us over the years or being so inconsistent so many times ,you just know that the class of leeds and Warrington will pull them out of the mire ,whereas we aren’t that lucky and seem to fall to pieces when a few big names are out . For what it’s worth IMO we will beat HKR if we have our best 17 on the field and all in the right frame of mind

| We do have the chicken little mentality as a fan base though ,the world falls in at the first sign of a losing run , woe is us and all that OTT stuff . It’s been going on ever since I've cared to watch them , dizzy height for us followed by deep troughs of despair . The holy grail is consistency which saints seem to have found and the rest of super league apart from Wigan are still searching for .We just seem to hit the low points better than most and don’t get to savour the high points long enough . Spare a thought in all this apathy for those poor MU players who’s wages collectively could sort the best part of world hunger out and they bombed 0-4 . Not a football fan in the slightest but jeez it puts our performances into perspective ,Think of the help both mentally and physically they get by the best in the world of sport ,
.These guys get everything afforded to them before stepping out on the hollowed turf ,so I’m happy where we are at , I’m happy with some of the performances , obviously not others , but that the wakefield way and I can’t see it changing anytime soon . Rather be stood in Belle Vue watching a team trying their best than at old Trafford watching a team of over payed Prima donnas who don’t give a monkeys any day of the week

If not we will get hammered.
The only plus side is WP knows Smith well so if there is a Coach whose methods he should know how to counter it's this one.
However, with a team that clearly can't do the basics and hasn't listened to their coach since 2018, I don't hold out much hope.

Come on Vasty, they were going ok till the Cas game.
The 2 wins v Wire were excellent as was the first 40 v Wigan in the cup.
I fully accept that we were bloody awful v Cas and the 2nd game v Wigan was always a hiding to nothing.
Something close to a full side v KR should be a good barometer of where we are at

| Gutted to be missing this one (bl*ody typical both games kick-off at 3) as I will be on the other side of the Humber watching Torquay United at Grimsby....
However, I missed last seasons game there and we won - so maybe I'm better off not going!
Think we have a chance [iif [/ithe players missing at the Pies return.
