Neil Summers intercepted near his own line and went 65 metres up field where Gary Spencer brought him down 5 metres from the line. Whitfield who was 40 metres behind play awarded the try, thinking Summers had made the try line. He then very arrogantly refused to alter his decision despite knowing he’d made a huge mistake and the try was the difference between Wakefield losing or winning and progressing into the CC Semi Final

The tries from yesterdays game typified the each teams style of play perfectly. The two Wire tries were pieces of individual brilliance and the three scores by Wakefield was team work personified. Wakey were the better team and Wire were relying on individual skills to get them through. Teamwork wins.

I think that WP mentioned it in his post match interview, that they had exploited space behind the ruck in consecutive weeks.
However, our defence, in general has been excellent this season (apart from the first half v Leeds).

I agree. And to be honest Widdop was really good for them. He saved them a couple of times.
Apart from Currie the others didn't seem to want to play at Widdop's level.

what a win - 2 in a row against one of the big guns away from home -outstanding.

Think they were the only two that caused us real problems.
