You need bottle to be a fan, you can’t just bail when under pressure.
We have played six games, five of which we were highly competitive in. Yet you chose to write the team and the season off based on the ONE game we played badly. I found that disrespectful to the team.
Today proved what anyone with a decent Rugby brain would tell toe, this result was coming.
We will have a choppy season I’m sure but to dismiss us like you did based on nothing got my back up.
WP is building something at Trinity but it won’t happen overnight. All the same we have plenty of quality in our team and we are IMO on our day as good as your beloved Salford or Cas or HKR to name a few.
I hope I have the bottle to carry on backing this team and I think you should.'"
At what point have I not backed the team.
I’m there every week supporting. I’m also a realist though. If my prediction is right or hopefully wrong only time will tell.
This is Wakefield and I’ve been watching playing and coaching at the club and had other involvement for over 35 years. I’ve seen much bleaker times than this and I’ve never not supported the club.
I’ve watched 3 games today (off to watch the reserves now which will make it 4) and so far it’s 3 from 3 for the Wakefield based teams. I’ve spent the day in the sun enjoying a beer with other rugby people enjoying their company and celebrating the Trinity win.
Today was a great performance best we have played in a long time but we always have a couple of those through the season. Today is the type of result that has kept us in SL over the years, and it’s part or the joy of supporting the team.
The test will be to back it up in the coming weeks.
Right pint supped and heading to the ground now. Not jumping on a forum straight after the whistle blows on our best performance for quite some time trying to score points on an opinion that will only be proven or disproven come the end of the season.
