I hope he stays but fully understand if he takes a big contract elsewhere - whats a testimonial year worth to a player? He could hit 100 tries this year which would be a great achievement for a Trinity player these days.

You're right though he does seem to love us and I've been told on a couple of occasions he has a bit of an issue with Leeds which just endears him to me all the more. Probably nonsense but I like the idea

Agree totally about Tom.
It certainly is a huge consideration and one I hadn't thought of -just might tip the scales for him staying.
There's another reason some clubs may be reluctant to sign him - if his dreadful injury run recurs - I sincerely hope the lad has all that behind him, but credit to the club they have looked after him and I'm sure Tom appreciates that.
I'd love to see Tom scoring a couple of length of the field tries at Wembley - how that would lift the club!

Most of Tom's tries were sensational and truly memorable and were much of a muchness, the most memorable thing I remember was when interviewed by that pr@t Bill Arthurs on Sky when he tried his best to rubbish the club while implying that he would be better off elsewhere and not being too subtle about it as well, Tom just put him firmly in his place about his feelings for the club and quite honestly left him embarrassed, if nothings changed to alter his opinion then hopefully he'll still be here.

would love to see a testimonial for TJ; something we don't see much of these days. It used to be a big thing in the days when a new testimonial booklet appeared. I still have a few from days gone. It would be interesting to see what sort of sum a much loved and skilled player such as Tom can raise these days. Out of interest were brochures produced for Danny Brough and Danny Kirrmond? I don't recall one.

I used to do a few of them, did both the Paul and Dave March and Ali L. But I wasn’t asked to do either of the above.

In fairness a lot has changed in the last 10 years and with Word and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop becoming easier and easier to use you can just about do it yourself now if you are halfway computer literate.

However I’m still a pro so whatever I did for Tom would blow most stuff out of the water, immodest I know but true.
