Ok, I've done it and I hope I don't live to regret it.

I do think it's vital that we support this, however as an individual this is one of those where I can't just toe the line just because it's what I want.

I fully understand those who may not wish to support this lousy company in their quest to milk millions off the ratepayer. I get that and if you can't bring yourself to support it that's fine in my book. I hope nobody goes as far as objecting but again that's your choice.

Frankly, I can't see what the public says make much difference unless it suits but all the same as many supports as possible will help there is no doubt about that.

Not sure about that one as the club runs the site, might be a conflict there.

Some of the objections are hilarious.

They range from "I like to walk my dog there", to "It will spoil the view from my back garden".

NIMBYs and disguised Cas fans, as far as the eye can see.

To be honest they would be fair comments if the horse hadn't already bolted. Even if this had nothing to do with Trinity I'd still support it because it's already 80% there, the Newcold fridge alone spoils the view for anyone within a 3-mile radius at least. I haven't looked but I'm hoping plot 8 will be used for a number of smaller 10 -100 man units and will bring in a genuine number of new jobs.

Thats why I think it will go through, there really isn't an alternative.

I can't recall the exact mechanism by which we and the Council forced YC's hand but it wasn't just plot 8. However, unless that gets passed it won't happen and there will just be a stalemate, so it is vital.

Not sure I agree, you're entitled to complain IMHO even if you're misguided, but to complain when it no longer makes any difference, well that's just pointless.

NIMBY is one of those descriptions that I have trouble with. It's a bit like could you shoot a man, Nobody is quite sure until it happens to them.

It's getting zilch support from me on principle. I was one of the 15000 that supported the new stadium on green belt. I am in no way supporting this. I feel so sorry for the locals who at the time were basically cast adrift. Sorry but no support from me as I say on principle.
