Its the central funding that is being reduced by £480k not our player budget, that means the amount of cash the club (and other SL Clubs) has been reduced from £1.72m to £1.24m, so we still have more central funding coming in than the £1.2m stated. Obviously this will have an impact on the player budget, but not to the degree of 50% (even if all the £480k came off the £1.2m that's only 40%) the biggest impact will be outside of the first team budgets and that will have an obvious impact on the club as a whole. But as stated, all SL clubs face this reduction in central funding, what is more obscene is that the bigger clubs already in £1m's of debt, will still keep spending more than wakey, and those of the same ilk, which in the long run is extremely bad for the game.

I did say if still the case and i don’t remember reading that MC is paying his salary but if so then good for him.

It's been mentioned loads of times and even if it hadn't why wouldn't you assume that might be the case rather than making a huge issue out of very little.

Why would anyone believe that a sacked club employee would have his salary paid for by the chief executive. I don’t know what type of business you work for but tell me how many times you have come across this scenario.

Yeah well, this is as ever where you are wrong. Chester wasn't sacked he had his contract terminated and there is a huge difference. Sacked is a cheap journo term but you can't be sacked from a contract in the way you mean unless it's for gross misconduct. Depending on the type of contract it is you are obliged to pay it up to its completion or whatever the legal print states.

We don't know when CC's old contract ended or when the verbally agreed one was due to begin. We don't know the terms and conditions. With MC being as far as I'm aware the main shareholder in the club he may well have decided to protect his business asset by paying CC himself or at least in the short term.

Seeing how quickly CC secured new employment he won't be greatly out of pocket and it will be money he can pay himself back at a more suitable time.

Of course, I'm speculating but at least I admit it, but I'm choosing to speculate in a more reasoned and less paranoid way than you do, sometimes the most simple answer is the obvious one. Your anti-club agenda is just too obvious at times.

MC has proved time and again he knows the finances of the club inside out - why would he do anything that would financially hurt the club? Why don't you let it drop - surely it's the business of the employer and the employee and nothing to do with anyone else.
