That's just what I thought. Those currently staying away and potential season ticket purchasers who were considering coming to Belle Vue after the recent games may now be having second thoughts. It may be that they didn't give Leigh enough respect and if so shame on them but I believed a good win was on the cards today and feel very disappointed after that performance.

That game, in a nutshell, is the reason Trinity have failed to build support or sustain interest amongst the Wakefield public over most of the last 50 years.
They build a bit of momentum with some good wins then lose miserably to teams below them with inexplicably poor performances. Whoooosh - all renewed optimism from fans and general public is gone in 80 minutes.
I was looking forward to the Hull game - a match with some jeopardy. I'm not even sure if I'll bother to make the journey now.

I feel exactly the same about the Hull game, yes it's the last home game but why bother with the long journey.
Because the club constantly let the fans down it should definitely look at insentives for the Hull game.

We have endured much worse London away, first game 16 nil up I believe and got hammered. I think performances like today are built into the DNA of Wakefield supporters so I doubt after a couple of days it will still resonate with many. We have short performance memories unless this type of play becomes way too frequent. We only have one game left and let’s hope the club make the correct retentions and new signings for next season which may be one of the most important.

Much as I want Willie Poching to succeed, and I would be delighted if he does as he's one of my favourite former players, it's important that he's not appointed purely on the new coach bounce that is often seen in most sports. With not much time left he's done well but now we'll see how he gets a team up after a poor performance.

Well, in all honesty, I sincerely wish you all the best next season, and I'm looking forward to being away from SL. Today's game was just a win and nothing more. You guys can argue amongst yourselves but ,I think you'll be a better team next season ,because if you're not it's going to be the same old same old. What a strange season!! Cats beat Saints, Shudds beat Cats, We beat Shudds and Leigh beat us. Can't weigh it up.
