Apart from what I’m told I took the bother using Trinity TV to actually count them.
I may be a few dozen out and I didn’t include the boxes but I’m closer than you.

I get approx 2,800, probably add another 100 in the boxes and visiting the bogs and I\d say 2,900.

That puts it somewhere between my lowest guess, remember the word guess and yours.

Try it, doesn’t take long, HD is a wonderful tool.

When I watched it there was a big bloke sat in front of me right in the camera line so wouldn't have been able to see me.
So actually 2,901 is probably more accurate......

Nowhere near 2900

FWIW over the years I've become reasonably accurate with crowd estimates at BV and I would say that you're not far off with that figure, vasty.

It's not too difficult under normal circumstances, working on the usual 4k average of the faithful add on some extras and part timers depending on the visiting team, plus the away support on the western terrace which isn't all that difficult to estimate and you'll not be far off, but we aren't playing to regular crowds atm which makes it a lot harder to estimate, not sure why the club can't give out the attendances as normal fwiw.

Other than using it as yet another stick to beat the club with, I don't see a great need to know the exact crowd figure. Going by info coming out of the club shop on Facebook and Twitter we appear to get to as near a sell out as makes no difference which is all that matters currently.

I do however think my estimate, or guess as normal people call them, is close enough, especially with a little bit of top notch info.
