I genuinely don’t know who we’re talking to, surely if we’re talking to players it’ll be for this season to help cement our place for next season. As a player You wouldn’t sign for a club for next season with the possibility of them going down thus making your contract nil and void and other clubs either up to the cap or not needing you. It’s a tough buisness

I’ve been around the game for years and I’ve learned that 99% of transfer speculation is totally made up. I’ve been suckered a few times myself.

So the only people I might believe regarding Milner are MC or CC, I certainly wouldn’t believe the player or those connected to him.

Getting it from MC is blood from a stone and he’s never mentioned Milner.

I don’t know CC but he doesn’t strike me as a gossip.

So although I wouldn’t discount Milner I wouldn’t give this rumour any more credit than any other.

I’ll gladly change my mind and give an opinion if you can say where you got it.

And that was the point of my original reply, RL doesn’t work like folk on here think it does, certainly not at Trinity. In reality any transfers, sackings and contract dealing are handled by a tiny number of people, non of whom post on here anymore and who wouldn’t say even if they did. You and I are not one of those.

So for me this is all pointless speculation unless you can back it up with facts.

Andrew did sign, I can assure you of that, whether that contract is ever honored only time will tell.

No, probably not but that's an entirely different situation in that they know Price is leaving and they know who is replacing him.

No matter what anyone on here, or on the terraces thinks should happen with Chester the decision on whether he is here next season will be down to the board and to Chester himself. Personally, I think MC and JM are probably of a different opinion to those moaning on here and they want to give Chester the chance to prove whether he can or can't turn things around. We all kow the stats regarding wins and losses but the last 2 seasons have had so many mitigating factors that it's difficult to rely on those stats completely.

Until such time as any decision on next years coach is made then Chester is the coach and his opinion on players is the one that matters. He should be the one making the suggestions and the board following them up to see if they are possibilities, but at this stage that's all they should be doing IMO.

Suppose the issue is have the club decided to keep the current coach , they’d hardly tell us not. In the event it’s a no to him then guess original posters post is pretty relevant.

I agree price is a different situation but nether the less simular as if cc isnt here it wouldnt be good for him to choose any new players.the debate for cc is an entirely different thread and as far as im concerned this shouldn't become another anti cc thread..the priblem is how long is it left before the decision is made.
