Quote: coco the fullback "So you're saying all 12 clubs have equal chance of winning the GF at the start of the season?
Wigan and Saints are the same as Wakefield and Leigh?
Do the bookies have them all on even money before the season starts?
Where teams finished last year is a clear indicator of strength. One or two teams may drop in or out, but when was the last time Wigan or Saints weren't in the top 6?
It's not excuses, it's facts. Some teams are better than others and hence more difficult to beat. No-one says we're not 'allowed' to beat them, it's just less likely that's all.
The fact that we have been competitive against these teams means we can be competitive against all teams are are likely to pick up wins against less strong squads as the season progresses.'"
Coco there's no mention of a Grand Final in my post is there? My aspirations are to improve every year, try and get into the play offs and have a good cup run. And what do bookies have to do with anything? Wigan finished below us not that long ago in one of the seasons we were 5th. At that time we were making progress beating them regularly home and away. I remember a 62 - 0 and we beat them the season after at Belle Vue too when Keegan Hirst scored a great try under the posts Why is it less likely now that we will beat them (or any side for that matter) when we have a supposed better squad? You surely must agree that we have gone backwards. We cannot score when on top, we leak tries for fun and there is little or no leadership on the field. I already said I applaud the effort and I hope to goodness it gets us some wins soon but we are sinking fast imo and that is upsetting and worrying for a lifelong fan.
