| So the people suggesting that it is a lack of money that means we have a poor quality squad are the same people that suggested at the start of the season that we should be looking at a top 6 finish, indeed many on here were scathing of the bookmakers who suggested we would finish bottom or second from bottom. The same people ridiculed Gary Schofield when he predicted a 12th place finish for us. Those people looked at our squad and coaching set off and felt it was better than half the clubs in the League.
Realists looked at the squad and suggested that 9th / 10th would be an excellent over achievement. You also have to say that nothing has changed, two years poor results, and the trend continues. Most coaches would have been sacked at the end of 2019 season. The balance of the squad under Chester`s leadership is terrible, some of the signings have been mind boggling, even the most rose tinted amongst us could see that we were and are screaming out for a decent hooker and we take an average winger on loan. Our tactics don't seem to have changed we are sticking with the same proven not to work structures. Same captain , same old same old. We have two new assistants, why two ? Either their input is been ignored or they don't have any decent input ideas.
I admire that Carter has stuck loyally with Chester, I disagree and think the time for a new coach was months and months ago, out with the old in with the new, fresh ideas etc etc.
One thing is for certain we are in a relegation battle, in the past we have had coaches and players who refuse to accept this, they need to understand this and simply focus on the reality.

| Bellycouldtackel good post I said as soon as Randel went we had to get a 9 of the same standerd or higher but no.We are now depending on a guy who 32 and said it's is last season .The 3 coaches of H K R ,Salford and Leigh .have brought in a recognised 9 with the ability to drive the team forward wether it's kicking or attacking the line and can get the ball away quick from the play the ball .Fans go on about our 6 and 7 not creating chances but there is no help from the so called hooker S we have at present..It as been a problem for all to see ,but our Coach thinks it is not important enough to fix We will see how important it is when we play these teams.

Also isn't, or wasn't JM a senior partner at PWC. A very large organisation, who probably has several contacts with others'"
Massive Haribo factory and distribution centre just near there too.
There are big businesses in and around the area, but my guess is they're not interested in us sadly.

These companies aren't interested in middle of the road sports. It's either massive national sponsorship or small time support for local amateur set up. I've tried to interest the company I work for but it's not company policy yet they donate regularly to small local groups including shirt sponsorship for a veterans RU Team.

| Quote: Alchemist1 "You cannot blame carter look where we were before he came along hes balanced the books and cleared the debts we accrued yes the team is not performing but it is capable of it first half performances prove it we just need a win any win and build from it i understand its difficult to watch and westerman in his post match interview was really frustrated but have you seen the debts of other clubs wigan and saints in particular we just dont have a sugar daddy to help us out so we have to stay financially secure especially at the minute when pretty much the only revenue is sky money due to the pandemic and no home games for fans perservere we are wakey fans and its second nature to expect this!'"
You should use punctuation and read what you've written before posting...it would add a greater impact to what you're trying to say, ie. we may be able to understand what you are actually trying to sayicon_smile.gif
