We seem to be doing it tough again losing Miller last week and Jowitt tonight, not saying they’d have won us the game but certainly makes a difference. Ended up with K Wood and Westerman at 6 & 7 at the end.

Frustrating.

I counted at least 19 unforced errors by a wide spread of Trinity players but I thought 2 of Kays schoolboy stuff lead to Hull scores. Nearly a 3rd if not for Thaler sending that last one up as no-try.

Lino was kicking goals from the touch line for fun against dewsbury . Much better performance for me , cut out the silly mistakes in our game and we’ll give anyone a game ,but keep handing the ball over with brain farts and it will be a tough season. Had some moves near the line as well with well worked try by batch , but coach killing mistakes are still prevalent,but definitely improvements with attitude and effort

Westerman was best in most facets tonight.
Some of the passing by his team mates was shocking

We had everything going for us tonight with Hull having a short turnaround, extra time in their last game plus an enthusiastic Trinity team but we still lost. I have said before I actually think this is the best the team could play, it’s not good enough but I am sure PT will be on here telling us to keep the faith despite the fact it is now 9 wins out of 42.
It’s ok to play well and occasionally lose but to play well once and lose is not a recipe for long term success. I don’t know what his post match press interview contained but I would guess he could not fault the effort, we are still short of ideas on the last tackle and we are doing it tough with regards injuries.
I think Chester needs to dream some more creative plays for the last tackle because I think most clubs have worked out the short crash ball to the second row.
I also don’t know why when Hull are down to 12 you leave Fifita and Kelepi on the bench.

Is he for real, yes the goalkicking probably was an issue but blame him like that? We had so much territory that we failed to take advantage of, that was the problem not a couple of missed goals. Especially when he actually played well tonight you can see there is something there he just doesn’t have the runners. And as for squeezing everything out of the players the quality just isn’t there (or words to that effect ) again talk about just projecting all the fault elsewhere. There was genuine intensity in that performance but we still look clueless in their 20s, in my opinion that is a coaching issue. Sick of listening to him, hopefully when the frustration and ale has worn off I’ll feel more generous towards him in the morning but listening to the interview makes me wanna spew
