Didn't anyone watch the pre season match Indigenous All Stars against the Maori All Stars ? It was a ferocious match Fifita looked to have lost a lot of weight he played the full 80mins and was described in commentary as the best forward in the game.

Reading between the lines it does seem as if it's still a long way off from actually happening, but if it does, it could certainly be an interesting situation! Just one thing kind of linked, as re. taking gambles with players who have had injuries, i'm pretty sure Josh Wood came off last season with a makeshift sling for his arm/elbow, does he have a weakness there? I know he missed the whole season for Salford in 2019, but not sure what his injury was. I noticed someone else mentioned Anthony Tupou, and let's not forget Pauli Pauli who we signed after his car accident etc, we just don't seem to have a good track record recently, but if he does come, and in a couple of months more and more fans are allowed back, surely he would put a thousand or two on attendances?

Absolutely, if he has half as much of an impact as what Solo did I think we'd all be well happy! I think if someone had asked me if we could have had Inglis or Fifita I would have certainly chosen Fifita, but I suppose we should all just calm down a bit......

You shouldn't be so sensitive to alternate opinions. It was mostly tongue in cheek but part of me fears it could well turn out to be one of those kinds of signings. The guys career has fallen apart in the last 12 months as well as his well-documented knee problems he's also been battling mental health and weight problems. Super League has a long list of big name 30 year old+ signings that just don't live up to the hype they just don't have the hunger for it. If what johnh says is right about him been offered up to all SL clubs and tuned away, well its a bit of a worry.

Positively I can see a big upside, both brothers together having that positive effect on each and sibling rivalry to spur them on. If he overcomes his problems and puts some big performances in it will be great for bums on seats and the club's profile. Lets just hope we have a big of luck with this one, gods knows were overdue.
