There are two things that have conspired to make this so.
1: I think his quality of play and general attitude has been far better than any of us expected. Certainly in my case.
2. The general standard of play from the rest of the team has so deteriorated in the last 18 month, it means that even an ageing Westerman still looks a level above.
What I suspect may have happened is an all-mighty bust-up amongst the players and Westerman has found himself isolated and this is not the first time in his career.
What we as fans can’t always see is that a good player doesn’t always fit the team. Now I know it was a fag end game against a week HKR but it was the only game last season where we looked anything like the free-flowing Trinity team of 2017/18.
Westerman didn't play, but Fifita played in that game.
Pure speculation but two huge egos, go figure.
That said no idea if true, no excuse for last week etc etc but if he wants out then bye-bye as I agree he’s nowhere near that good that we need to make him a special case.
