I can't equate financial prudence with lack of ambition. All but 3 clubs operated at a loss at the last reckoning and these include the perennial winners who are consistently able to buy success and outbid any efforts of other clubs to usurp their position. This situation will persist whilst the SL clubs run the game and they are allowed to change the salary cap requirements to suit their own ends.
Wakefield Trinity has successfully negotiated 23 consecutive seasons in Super League, defying all odds and with several self inflicted disasters heaped upon us - but we are still there with a chip in the game and a chance to shine this year.
As for success. Last year saw some great development of young Wakefield lads into Super League standard players led by Jordi Crowther's massive improvement to a point where he reminds me of Nigel Bell, a true club legend. Established players should rightly be concerned that there are several youngsters pressing claims for positions they may feel they own. So, my hope for this season is that all our senior players show a marked improvement in their game but may be unable to hold off the tidal wave of talent coming through to take their places.

what I want this year is a change to attitude I do expect a loss along the way as I'd be foolish to think otherwise I want to see someone laying the law down and I want to see a unity within the group even if the going gets tough'"
For the optimists among us who believe that Trinity have a good chance of reaching Wembley this year and that supporters will be allowed to attend. National Travel are offering return coach travel 1 night 3star b&b and match tickets for £149.
