| There was nothing wrong with the Brough signing half way through last season before he got injured and others....
And now, as many keep saying, he's the type of player we're missing.
He may have been a couple of seasons past his best but that's probably why we could afford him.
Just watching Hudds v Leeds...a very ordinary game but for me Sezer the clear difference between the two, ending sets well. They look a much better outfit with him on the field from what I've seen of them..

| Quote Mick Amos 9 WTW="Mick Amos 9 WTW"I never said all fans who aren't happy are grudge fans. Far from it!! There are grudge fans. Not many, but there certainly are some! Also if genuine folk want a change in coach, it doesn't fuss me. I get it. In every sport, some fans want change, some fans dont. We're no different.
One of my points was the past 18 months has been incredibly difficult for the club and it's been extremely trying for Chezzy and the coaches and I've empathy with that.
But you've cleared it up for me if I was in any doubt, you want a new coach
'"
If something has happened behind the scenes that us fans don’t know about then Chester has my support as a bloke!
If you’re just referring to the stuff we all know about such as injuries, Covid-19 then he’s not dealing with anything that every other club has also been dealing with!
As for Watson, despite protestations above, Watson has had the lowest budget in SL. His club was transferred to a fans consortium and they very much looked like they might fold post Koukash making it almost impossible to recruit players. Even then he pulled a good team together only to see bigger clubs take players from his team for two years in a row. However, despite losing more than they win they at least looked like they cared, they were entertaining and well drilled. They showed that they could compete with the best and he took them to a Grand Final.
Finally, even the stats that you quote for winning and losing are still better than Chester’s.
It’s not that I want a new coach! It’s that I believe a new coach is an imperative if we are to avoid a relegation fight next year! This is a fact I’m not trying to hide so well done on sussing me out!

| I'll be glad when this season is over and we can start to build for next, assuming we're gonna get some measure of normality.
The idea that we've had a decent undisrupted run at anything lately and that CC ought to go is absurd, but pretty typical of the misogynistic miserable attitude half this forum only live for to display.

| Hopefully some overseas wages will go at seasons end, some youth may have come good and free some cash for a scrum half/ organiser with brain and boot.

| Quote Mick Amos 9 WTW="Mick Amos 9 WTW"Firstly, I absolutely get the frustration with results and performances. They don't look pretty. Fans rightly have questioned this. (Not the grudge brigade, they'll always want misery). Genuine fans who are frustrated with where we are at, at the minute. I haven't really said anything about Chezzy as like Michael both shouldn't be untouchable as regards critisicm. They're not perfect and make mistakes.
Chris is a young coach whose done some good things and some bad things. We've had great success in respect of what we're used to. Top 5 finishes etc. He is learning and always needs to look at where he can improve like players need to.
The last 18 months has been rotten to us with injuries and COVID and at times soul destroying. As a coach it must be horrendous to work with. I've absolute empathy.
I've looked on social media at many, many different opinions and I wonder which one Chezzy should chose? Not digging the fans, it's just factual to say I've seen so much variation in team selection, how we should play, what we should do etc. Who is right?
"Last kick options are killing us and they're starting their sets on the 30", "Forwards aren't creating the platform", "Wrong half backs", "Wrong SR selection", "Wrong Captain", "Wrong structure", etc etc.
My post isn't saying Chezzy shouldn't have critics, it's just not as simple as we as fans make it out to be sometimes.
Anyway I hope we get back to normal soon, I felt that buzz again last night! Let's hope that continues.'"
Brilliant post mate. 100% sensible and measured. Some utter hysteria on here. An apparent complete amnesia for the shocking injury situation we suffered last season. The whole game is in a state of flux. We need to survive as a club. We need to take a deep breath and realise this is not a normal situation. It's not great to see us with our backs to the wall. But we need to support not Knock at this time in my view.

| Quote upthecats="upthecats"We’ve gone backwards because in his first two seasons we were very lucky with injuries and the teams with much more financial power than us who we finished above have been able to go out and spend big money and sign top quality players we can’t afford. On the whole in his time I think Chester has had more successes than failures in his signings, especially when you take into account the budget he has to work with...'"
