Couldn't agree more BLM. I idolised him as a kid and started watching Trinity the year he made his debut. When you think of some of those that have been knighted in various fields how can they have ignored him for so long. Well. I suppose he did play for Wakefield. Holder of a points scoring record that will never be equalled and to think how he was ignored for the Wembley statue. I suppose he did get a tiny plaque that was added to the statue: paid for by Sir RMW, I believe. Get him knighted NOW whilst he is still with us.
I believe Mr Carter in his position of CEO of Wakefield Trinity should nominate him for a knighthood eusa_clap.gif a014.gif

Only OBEs and MBEs.
I'd love him to get one but its really unlikely.

...... Edit Just checked. There are 10 Rugby Union knighthood.

I wonder why?
Another example of the favouritism shown towards that game?
I never had any doubt that big Neil was the best ever and I am completely bewildered as to how the likes of Martin Offiah stands on a pedestal outside Wembley but Neil not in sight.
I can only assume the people making that decision were completely biased or completely ignorant Take your pick.
