Same with Jowitt instead of Hampshire if not fit.

I have to say youth, fitness and speed will help on the first game back. Hampshire, Miller, Wood x2 will all be important as will the fitter front rows. I'd like to see Big Dave out there but I think we'll need super fit players so his debut may be a later game.

We've had a fair amount of success in recent seasons against Wigan but, this one will come down to how well prepared everyone is and discipline.
More than ever, sides have to respect possession and not give penalties away.
We will also need to be clever with getting a breather when needed.

Agree that we need to find a spot for both Woods, running with just one #9 isn't wise.

Be interesting to see how this game is refereed, Wigan are probably the worst team in the league for unlawfully slowing down the ruck but it will be interesting to see if the same standard is set that was in the Saints Catalan game or if they will just let the usual slide; hands/knees in at the play the ball, players climbing around the tackled player to get to marker, players laying on.

Agree, K Wood can play the full 80 but is a lot more effective when played in stints, likewise with J Wood from what I have seen.

I am a fan of having a hooker on the bench as they can usually cover the halves as well should they be needed.
