For me, there are two great destructors of society that are man-made. They are religious people and political people though frankly there one of the same in my book.
These are people who are utterly convinced they are right and have the answers. At the moment the worst offenders are the die-hard socialists on here, but if labour were in charge I’m sure it would be the other way around.
They cover their bitterness by claiming that debate and questioning make governments do the right thing which inevitably is their thing.
For example, we have a poster on here he is usually quite sound claiming that his opinion and that of others changed the government's opinion on the herd response. Utter self-opinionated rubbish, how the hell do they know the PM has changed his stance or that the theory is wrong? They don’t but like thousand of little Piers Morgan’s they are convinced they do. Ditto profiteering and assistance on wages etc.
Stop talking crap, you don’t have the figures, you don’t have the facts and virtually nobody has the knowledge!
In these situations which are less than once in a lifetime public opinion and the democratic process counts for very little. Do you think the virus cares what you think?
It’s at times like these where those we elect have to take charge and we have to back them and trust them. They are the only ones with any real oversight and power.
They will get stuff wrong, Churchill got loads wrong. We lost far more battle than the Germans but we won the war, it’s only ever the last battle that really counts.
So why don’t people drop the party political stuff? Sure question things you think are wrong but do so to help not to point score. If you must then do it at home, bore the wife to death.
In the meantime let those with the responsibility do their jobs without this pathetic backbiting.
There will be plenty of time for recriminations later when all the bodies are buried and we have the final tally. How large that number is will depend hugely on people obeying the authorities whether they like it or not.
Some serious growing up is required by some, we’ve all had an easy like since 1945 but the fun may now be over and you might have to get used to it. That, by the way, includes Boris and his vain attempt to appear libertarian, won’t work mate as the virus is a thug.
Oh, and I might be wrong, see its easy
