Quote: little wayne69 "In your opinion Grix was better than Jowitt at the time, which I suppose validates your self evidently stupid biased opinion that nobody can argue with that or your opinion, well there are plenty on here would argue that it does not make sense that Grix was first choice, so just to sum up then, it was alright to put Grix straight back in the side irrespective of Jowitts form but you would find it disappointing if Jowitt got dropped and not stepped aside for Brough, and you don't find that contradictory.'"
Yes, in my opinion - I'm not sure how I could write any other way; nor do I feel the need to qualify every statement by saying "in my opinion" - it seems a given that if I'm writing it, it's my opinion.
Again - I think it was justified to select Grix over Jowitt *at the time.* I don't think it would be justified to stand him down now, *at this time*; there is no contradiction in that, because the two situations are not identical. Although I can see the logic in wanting Brough on the field if he's fit - he's got years of experience and still reads a game better than most. Maybe the answer is to rest Miller, or drop Max to fb and leave out Walker?
Quote: little wayne69 "Maybe Redcaps suggestion that Chester has a grudge against Jowitt is off the mark, but to a lot of people on here it seems that he's just a stop gap used by Chester as and when, which as the coach is down to him which if your a Jowitt fan makes it also patently evidently stupid.'"
Yes it was off the mark - it's crazy to think that a coach who's job is based on results would deliberately overlook a player who could deliver those results, because of some childish personal grudge.
