Sounds like a decent player, as hard and aggressive as they come with silky handling skills and a decent rugby brain.

They could also announce the team over the tannoy, or maybe put it out on Twitter and Facebook

Everybody in the stadium between 10 and 85 will have some kind of mobile device on them.

19 man squad of course but that is all over the media well in advance even if you don't use those social media platforms.
The team is announced about an hour or two before kickoff so although I like it being on the apps, tannoy is ok for me.

I really don’t see why it bothers you. I dispute that people use all those media, they may have them but it doesn’t mean they want to use them. Just because something is old fashioned doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Some of us also like to collect.

As for cost I was pretty sure I covered that.

Tannoy is fine, If you can here it, in the north stand you can't always make out what's being said.

Other clubs have a monthly magazine that includes that particular months fixtures, a little article on the away teams and obviously both squads,Hull springs to mind, no programme gives the starting 17 so match day tannoy announcement will continue for quite some time. I don’t know if we will go down this route but seems to tick many boxes.

One idea I had was to have a large screen similar to the of the score board screen on western terrace, put both teams 17 on screen for the duration of the game. Perhaps this is a too simple idea from an old codger who also isn’t user friendly with so called modern technology.
