Planing submission sounds like it's ready to go but it looks like we're waiting on some sort of funding mechanism from an enabling development (Newmarket at a guess??) before this can proceed. Brexit and GE delaying council operation such as planning matters. John Minard is due to expand on this next month.

Sounds about it though I didn’t pick up on any funding issue, unless I missed it that wasn’t mentioned? But as I say I may have missed it.

More that the BV phase 1 app needs to coincide with an enabling development application, I just read that as we need that to proceed as a funding souce.

Ah right I wondered what that meant.

I seem to remember after the last Newmarket planning application at the Town Hall, which was passed, there was some suggestion that Trinty planning application and funding was reliant on the Newmarket application being passed. Perhaps this is the two applications going in together, that MC mentioned last night.

It's good that we've just about got our side of the planning sorted and ready to go for phase 1 and they've been through the process of meeting with the highway guys, traffic surveys, architects etc. It sounds like there's been some proper movement and preparation happening, rather than just talking. For me this seems a case of when it's gonna get started, not if.
