| I get a bit lost but I think MC said five new players for certain and perhaps two more.
So we have Westerman and Walker confirmed so that leaves 3 possibly 5.
So we need by my reckoning
1 Hooker
1 Halfback
1 Prop
Possibly a second prop, maybe two.
We have 2 FB's, 6 three quarters 7 if you count Croft and I do and 7 back rowers with Arundal as an extra if needed... in these positions, I think we are OK.
The HB and Hooker role is obvious.
The props are a bit of a grey area for me, lots of combinations. We have Fifita and Koppy who are specialist props, we have Arona and King who can play Prop or back row and Tanganoa if needed along with young Gwaze (let's hope he's an early developer physically). So for me, we need at least one more specialist prop but two would be ideal.
I thought Chris Green was excellent and hope he's a possibility.
Think I've covered all the bases.

| Thought Randel was playing a lot better than Wood at back end of season , so to bring some one in to play as second choice to Wood is a backward step .

| Quote: ball-in-hand "Assuming rumour etc come true and we are hoping to sign pitts tangata and green the real priority left is someone who can cover half back and hooker and is worth a place in the 17 regularly . I done think the 3rd choice hooker from salford is that person. We need real quality in that position and I don't know who is available. The guy from fev was mentioned a while back Cameron somebody? An aussie? Not seen enough if him to know if he can do the job but I believe he was their leading try scorer.'"
Josh Wood got Salfords Young Player of the Year 2018 and their Players Player 2018 but has been injured part of this season.

| Just read back on the report of the 13 NRL players offered out.
Ryley Jacks was the half who could play hooker, the other halves were Williams, Reynolds and Mason Lino
A little closer to home. I read earlier that Dec Pattom was being released by Warrington

Agreed but Woody had a long hard season, pretty much played into the ground, he needs an off season to rest up.

| I was just thinking same Fisherman.
Since he came back in 2017, done a lot of minutes, did 80 minute stints for the majority of 2017, and with Randells injury problems since he came to us.
Maybe he just needs that bit of a breather.
As for the incoming Wood, given the accolades he won at Salford, maybe we should give him a chance in the red, white and blue before we pass judgement
