Quote: Prince Buster "I agree East should be first.
However I also think the West Terrace should be next. The North stand is more acceptable in that it is part covered and the terrace is at least steep enough to see the game. The West terrace is an absolute joke and whoever designed the terracing needs locking up.
I also think we should be more welcoming to away supporters. They benefit us greatly on a financial basis if we can increase their numbers. I am surprised they even bother to turn up at the moment the way they are treated when they arrive. Further to that I do not want us to act like Leeds. They have a fantastic ground on all three sides but their attitude is, Give the crap uncovered end to the away lot we don't give a toss about them.'"
From what I understand the West terrace was never originally a terrace, it was part of the Velodrome track that once ringed BV, ditto the East stand, which is why both the East stand and the old West stand were more or less pitch height. The terrace came later and rather and due to the height of the stands couldn't be elevated. It's this that tends to make BV look more uneven than it actually is. If you go on the Trinity heritage site there is actually a photo of BV as a Velodrome or at least I think there is, HTH
