Can anyone explain to me why we have segregation areas in the ground with the exception of the east stand.
I have been a member for over 60 years but if this problem is not addressed for next year then my membership
will end. On a number of occasions this season we have been inundated with away supporters in the centre of the
east stand. There were times on Sunday when I thought we were going to have an incident.
Would it not be possible to reserve one of the end sections for away supporters and segregate them. The norm for super league.
I feel this has now become a health and safety issue and should be addressed by the club as a matter of urgency.

Quote: upthecats "The thing I can’t get my head around regarding segregation in standing areas is, at some games you can enter the ground through the turnstiles where away fans go, walk up the stairs past the snack bar and then into the Northstand...on odd occasions though like Sunday, all of a sudden you can’t and have to walk round to the turnstiles behind the Northstand?...Then, having not been allowed to just walk past a few away fans you make your way into the Northstand to get passed by away fans who’ve entered the Doncaster Road turnstiles...

On another note...was surprised to learn on Sunday that you’re allowed to smoke anywhere in the Northstand that’s not under cover! Not good for a non smoker who doesn’t like it (doesn’t bother me)...or supporters in their late 70’s like my old man who has lung and breathing issues and now can’t stand where he has for the last 30 odd years if people choose to smoke there...'"

http://flightsandfrustration.com/ It is "Fifita" not "Fafita" If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed. I understand your views on smoking there upthecats, this is why I hate standing behind the sticks at Cas, I've never come across so many smokers in a ground in recent years as the Cas fans. I guess it is something like the law is you are not allowed to smoke in any public indoor or covered area.

Ground is supposed to be smoke free. E-cigs are smoked in front of East stand, no one seems to stop them.

I'm an ex smoker stopped at the age of 42 not because I had any issues but concerns also an ex welder who for years never had the extraction most of the time I now do suffer a little but we have e cigs that was deemed to be more healthier than cigs, well shock horror they are now finding health issues with them

No, apparently not?

I thought it was no smoking as earlier in the season I've seen people told to put out or go to a designated area...seems to have been a change though as I questioned a steward and then asked them to question it again and was told it was allowed as long as not under the Northstand roof...

I don't blame the lads for smoking by the way...if they're told they're allowed to do it and that's the stadium rules now then so be it....bit annoying with lads drinking at same time as an ex smoker I know that with drinking you're practically lighting one up off the last one you smoked!
