| Something is clearly not going right and it needs sorting.
Mr Carter will not sack Chester so I think he should do a couple of things himself.
One thing he could try is ask Saints if he could spend some time over there and get to know all their backroom staff and methods. I am sure it would be a right eye opener for him and may help him identify what needs altering behind the scenes at our club.
He could also get someone in who is very experienced to look at our back room set up with a fresh pair of eyes and t identify the weak areas.
People say the buck stops with the coach , but coaching is a team effort and I am sure a stronger more experienced team to help out Chester would improve things.

Still think we need 3 wins to be sure of staying up. Just need to get to the end of the year and look to next season.
Said on here a few times Chester should be judged on our progress after 100 games in charge which he crossed this season I believe. Currently he has failed to maintain the course of improvement since 2016 but there is some serious mitigation as to why the season has collapsed, however we should be putting in better performances than last week and a bad one at home to Cas on Friday could really pour some petrol on the fire. Seriously though - who is going to come in and a) improve things within the budget b) be a realistic long term appointment? People jumping up and down calling for JD to be brought in are assuming his sentiment for the club matches theirs.'"
I think that's fair enough, sometimes the grass isn't always greener is it......we have to be realistic about who would replace him........but like you say, another poor effort on Friday and they are all gonna cop some serious flak and they will probably have no real defence! After all when you consider Salford have only won 1 out of the last 6 or 7, and that was us, same really with Catalans, now Cas are hardly on a hot streak are they.

| Hudds aside, the past one or two months I’ve seen the same amount of passion and pride in this team as the 2015 team. Just willing to roll over and die straight from the off. Christ, a lot of people though losing 36-6 to Wire was good.

Yep I get what you're saying, pride's a dirty word nowadays! But if you're waiting for Chester to be sacked, I think you will be waiting quite a while, but who knows what lies in store eh......

| Hi Wollo,re your last post
I am now beginning to understand why people would bet against their own team.If Trin loose, the winnings can soften the blow. I can also see that if they opt for the points for or against system, that can finish as a win-win situation.I still won't back against Trinity though,it would be a case of me hoping that I loose money.Nope!
Your mention of the 1979 semi brought back my best memories of my time watching the club. Was there at Headingley seeing Burky,Toppo,Fletch, and I think Keith Smith do their stuff in a very tense but successful match.

Chester won’t get sacked whilever Mike Carter has influence, they’re too close which is never a good thing if you’re in a professional set up. More likely to be moved upstairs whether it’s warranted or not.
