Retail is struggling however I don't think this neccessarily affects the cheap end so to speak. In fact I would say they're probably doing well out of people's lack of funds. Poundworld failed because of mismanagement rather than lack of footfall.

I am lead to believe Poundworld is still considered an 'High end prestige brand' in Cas. The Harvey Nicks of Airedale so to speak.

Would prefer Mr Poundworld to invest some of his millions in a new community stadium. After all, he is a Wakefield lad isn't he? A new Poundworld store is surely financial suicide.
