First let me say i want a stadium like all WAKEY fans do ! However, Trin will Never get a stadium whilst cold cllr Box is in charge & never until the Cas ground is built first ! Once the Cas ground is built Box will cancel Wakey's ground scheme provision as exhausted & push for sharing with Cas. The problem then would be the ground owned by Cas for £1 leaving any other user as a tenant, thereby eventual over priced rent enabling push out &/or expulsion as trinity being there does not suit them.
Please understand if the council was genuine same for Yorkcourt, then you would just get on with it, without prevaricting all the time.
They are not behind the scheme provision in any shape or form !

Well if you remember a few weeks back in waky express they announced they had been looking at a new site for the stadium and a statement would be made in July, well 1 week left then.

Wasn't that the news that came out regarding Balne Lane fields.

If so, this was denied at the time, and also Manni tweeted saying that why would they look at an alternative site, when they are still working hard trying to deliver an upgraded BV, or words to that effect.

Just seen a tweet from Manni congratulating the club on 3rd successive top 8 finish.

He then added lets hope to deliver the stadium, signing off with the following hashtag.

After yesterdays fantastic effort I have just sent the following to Henry Boot:-


Dear Sirs,

I notice that you appear to have become involved in the development at Newmarket Lane Stanley Wakefield.

When receiving planning permission the original developer promised to provide facilities (including new stadium) for sport in the Wakefield area via a section 106 agreement.

Since then a large building for Newcold PLC has been/is being built but the community stadium is as far away from being built as the day planning permission was given (following a public enquiry held by the Secretory of State).

I note from your website that among your values are integrity, loyalty and respect. That being so I was wondering if your involvement in the development might bring about an early resolution to the stadium issue.
