A dad to be really proud of, Dave.

Just after he signed for Wakefield back in the fifties, as a kid me and my mates used to see him cycling home from work along Ings Road. We used say "hya Harold" as he passed, and he always replied, Ey up, lads". It would make our day.

Though his playing days were before my time I have had the pleasure of meeting him and he was an absolute gentleman.
My dad always talked about him as one of the greats and I'm sure he will go down in Wakefield history as a great but humble man.
