I missed a good 20 minutes of the first half, despite getting within sight of the ground at 20 past 7. I had a disabled passenger so qeued to park in the ground. Finally got to the ground just before kick off and was told it was full, honestly they need a sign up on the main road/ a steward up there to advise people.
The annoying thing was as I turned around in the car park to go park on the estate, after dropping off my passengers, I could see plenty of spaces around the ground.
I appreciate parking is not easy at a lot of grounds, but the stewards and systems in place to manage traffic need to be far better.

Yes a delayed kick off would be the way forward
As an away fan if going over the he pennies (or hull) the hosting team really do need to be more aware of what's is going on outside the ground it's some times impossible infact for us that work until 6

I'm not sure if they are allowed or not by the league but they really need to allow delays in kick off

I thought with the game not being on sky a ten minute delay would have been ok I know it's happened before as for the housing estate just brand new houses

Parked in that soccer city place and a ditch over bridge made from pallet wood, certainly has character Craven Park. Previous trips I've parked the other side of the ground and walked down a footpath to the ground.

There’s a simple answer to not getting in to see the game on time. Set off earlier. We set off at 5pm from Huddersfield, got parked up with a 10 minute walk to the ground. Inside the ground at 6.45pm. No problems at all. Appreciate people work and struggle to get away perhaps on a Friday. Sunday is the best day for travel but heyho seems to be Fridays now!

As you say people struggle to get away from work on a Friday
So getting off earlier is not possible at times, though it's very easy to say 'set off earlier'

The clubs and league need to take this into consideration

No, the parking issues at the ground are an issue.

Mrs EW does have a permit for the car park, but with the way it's set up you do get issues.

However, as she does still have relatives over there, tends to set off much earlier so she can go visit. With that, often gets into ground in good time.

Yes, the housing estate nearby is in the process of being renovated.

Apparently, there are some new houses that have been built, and I believe Neil Hudgell has organised flyers to be sent out in the new builds to promote the club, should they be new to the area and possibly the sport
