Why do I get the impression he doesn’t know the Wakefield players names as well as the Leeds team. I know it’s their first attempt and they are doing what no other station is doing so we will just need to give them time.

My feedback after listening to the first half would be try to avoid long pauses in the commentary, it probably doesn't seem like it behind the mic but you can really tell when listening. Try and describe where the action is taking place a lot more.

Found myself counting the times the word THAT was used, driving THAT ball, carrying ThAT ball etc etc plus long pauses in Comentry

Some crowd noise would be good. Sounded like Wakefield library.
Maybe get the north stand miked up?
Always difficult with so many subs keeping track of who's on the field.
Decent first effort. Looking forward to listening through the season.

Like others have said the pauses were longer than normal but like anything it'll get better as time goes on. Some confusion on who got what but that might have been a confidence issue or viewing position but all in all well done.
Gutted I couldn't make it as I got a few tickets and couldn't go so the commentary was a bonus |
