Is it just me or if this signing to good to be true. With this lad on board we would be incredibly strong- way stronger than any Trinity side I can recall. Makes you wonder how the hell we got him and how the hell we've got the team we have.

If true it's absolutely stunning - doesn't mean success is guaranteed - but stunning all the same.

To be fair wasn't there a bit of animosity between Kear and Hampshire's dad? Is it to simplitic to suggest with his departure a move to Trinity is a little more palatable to the family?

Obviously, with JK leaving it left some money free and with us only having Finn & Miller as out and out halves (although we could have managed), that has swung it. He'll get a chance at some point to play in his preferred position and may back himself on eventually making it is own, especially as Finny isn't getting younger. If we have signed him, it isn't to play FB because we're quite rich in that department.

I am a massive fan of Ryan, even though I live in Australia I keep a close eye on his progress and he has had a rough time off the field which may have affected his form over the last 12 months.
But I have always rated him higher than George Williams and I stand by that, hopefully he will get the chance to show his quality if it is true that he has signed at Wakey.
