Maybe Tony Smith could replace him here?

Much as I like JK,and I'm sorry he's left, it does give me another reason to hope the Bulls flop.

So we're replacing him but with the job title as Assistant Coach to CC. Personally wouldn't have a clue where to start, especially with us having a fairly young Coach anyway. I was going to say Tony Smith could do what Kear did but seems the job title now doesn't fit him.

I'd say great minds and all that but I'd be kidding.

Perhaps he sees it as a fitting end to a long career. Given that we know the Bulls have the ability to be a successful top flight club with big crowds (subject to sensible financial management), imagine the legacy of restoring them to that. In the eyes of Batley fans, I'm sure he is highly-regarded. He is rightly respected and admired by us, for what he did for us for five years, and also last year, and now has the opportunity to top his legacy by returning the Bulls to former glory. I can see the lure of that.

Good luck to the bloke, and to the Bulls. Whatever we think, they were an asset to the Super League when they were in it.

Didn't Chris Chester say that one goal he had at Wakey was to put the smiles back on the faces of the players. From reading the Warrington board, that isn't Tony Smith's style. Tales of players being frozen out, etc.

Wonder if Glenn Morrison fancies another stint at wakey..did a good job in his last role

Doesn't Dickens already have the job, except that he was the assistant to two men rather than one?

Tim Sheens seems to be very complimentary of him, specifically his defense coaching... Wonder if KR will take him on full time.

From the way the Club have worded the job, it sounds like an Assistant Coaching gig to me anyway but I thought we had one

. so that would rule Smith out. Saying that if it was Tony Smith, he wouldn't have control over the first team like he did at Warrington, so I doubt he'd change the culture Trinity has developed. Not that I think he'd come over anyway if I'm honest, even though he seemed to have a soft spot for us.

Don`t we have 2 assistant coaches already? Dickens and Gilmour?
