To be fair it does make sense, would his wife now she's been found guilty need a visa to enter this country? If she's given house arrest as the judge suggested it's hardly house arrest thousands of miles away. And if she can't come over here I can't see him leaving here, a new (ish) born baby and two toddlers at home.

Well MC has already responded to one fan saying "It all depends on the outcome of the court date in January" with "No it doesn`t" so according to MC he`s coming back either way?

David is obviously under no illusions on what action will be taken on his partner as he already knows? But has told the club he will be coming back for next season.

I would guess that Fifita and his wife have many close family members who will support them while she’s under house arrest. Also Fifita has a well paid job which will be sorely needed as they rebuild their lives and possibly pay back into the system.

The only thing that they might find impossible to cope with is his absence from his children and baby but many career people make the same sacrifice every day, military more than most.

I’d expect to see him back and maybe better than ever now that all this is no longer hanging over him and his family.

I dont know the law on this but if it's not a custodial sentence would she be banned from the UK. I mean weve let worse in that that?

I was thinking more on the lines of the USA, I know a guy who got caught up in football related fighting and was refused a visa.

I am no expert on immigration but I believe it's the type of offence convicted off and what sentence it carries not necessarily the sentence given.
