Why? Because he was a fantastic organiser of the defensive line and was very much respected by all the players who trusted his judgement. As for Grixy under the high ball comments. If he bombed one in the first 10 minutes he would struggle the whole game as he is very much a confidence player. If he takes the first few bombs he's usually pretty safe the whole game. I'm pretty sure Broughy will bomb him to death the whole game though!

On Grix he's the best fb we have on our books and links really well, it's a nice change to have an outside back who can actually pass & it's no coincidence that our wingers have scored more tries this year than for the last 20 or so

On the high bombs - it's not just down to one man...we should be better organised to protect the catcher by shepherding attacking runners - watch any nrl side and even leeds or wigan who have succeeded in copying them well enough to dominate our game - we don't do it and pay the costs...we can't even defend short kick offs and i'm surprised more teams don't take them against us more regularly, they'd get the ball back 80% of the time

I like Ridyard. Imo a younger version of Finn. Good kicking game and. An organise. Wouldn't be a bad option for when Finn retires.
