| Quote asmadasa="asmadasa"Mose Masoe would be a good addition to the Trinity pack in place of Mitch Allgood if KR don't get promoted for next season...
'"
You'd of thought his first preference would be to return to Saints if they'd want him. Can imagine a host of clubs looking at him.
Him, Dave and Huby wouldn't be too shabby all on the pitch at once

| I don't know who will be in SL next year from the middle 8's but it seems to me a great loss that teams like HKR, Halifax, Bradford and possibly Featherstone -all clubs with good crowd potential - can't be included in a re-structured SL.
Don't ask me how I haven't thought so far ahead yet!

| Good point there Trinity1315 regarding crowds, especially with what I said the other day regarding average crowds being linked to spending the full cap.
I dont think I ever shared an observation my 15 year old son made at the CC semi final last year. He said he felt that Sandow, Gidley and Ratchford, their main pivots posed a threat inside their own 20 metres, and asked the question of our pivots and sid ours pose the same threat.
Maybe, just maybe, playing budgets aside, that he could have a point

| Just been reading on facebook that Featherstone have failed in an attempt to sign Ryan Hampshire.
Hes looking to leave Leigh but wants to remain in Super League.
Local lad, no quota spot.
Thoughts?

A lot on here seem to put him on a pedestal from how good he was at junior level, I'm sorry but the truth is im not sure I've seen him have a decent game at senior level yet, infact most performances have been disastrous. Powell couldn't even get him going in a great side - And there's not many coaches better at bringing them through... I get the fact he is a Wakefield lad but theres no room for sentiment in this game if you want to be a top side.. Lets not forget as a junior Tommy Lee was tearing apart the Aussies and was probably rated one of the best junior players on the planet.. Until just about settling into a bang average utility player at Saints he spent years as a under par pivot.
Saying that on the contrary he is still very young and has time on his side, I would give him a chance at Wakefield if he was to come at the right price and came with the right attitude.

Sandow yes, very talented on his day but the only reason he was over here, and is now also no longer here, is that his attitude stinks. So do you think it's a good idea for Wakefield to sign a player like that? I certainly don't.
Our half backs have been fine this year anyway, as reflected by the fact we're 4th after 22 rounds. Jacob Miller is a threat from anywhere when he's fit. The only glaring deficiency I can see in our half backs is that they all have fairly average kicking games.
Since we've yet to hear anything about Williams signing for next year I assume the chances are he will go back to Australia, although I think he's a good player and we haven't seen the best of him yet so I would rather he signed a new deal.
If he does go though and a half back with a top class kicking game becomes available within our budget then we should definitely go for them but I accept that a team on our budget unfortunately can't have everything and also that half backs are generally well in demand.

True - The only reason you see top class Aussies over here usually is they have either burnt all there bridges back home or playing there final years out.
I cant think of many top class Aussies that have played over here that were also true professionals - Jamie Lyon springs to mind at Saints, Tommy Leuluai first time round at Wigan, Danny Buderus at Leeds, maybe Lauititi at a push as im sure he would of also been class in the NRL in his hey day at Leeds. There's not many though.
Miller is a genuine threat from anywhere I believe, and at 24 still has plenty of time to develop his game and the fact we have the pace we do surrounding him helps a great deal.

Matt Gidley and Trent Barrett were both top class over here but there haven't really been any for at least the last five years or so that I can think of.

| Quote KevW60349="KevW60349"Tyler Randell the Knights 24 year old hooker must be on his way over to join us i reckon. A good honest lively rugged hooker who does his fair share of tackling. He can play half back also, i believe he started his career as a stand off before he became a much rated hooker.'"
Official,Tyler has signed 2 year deal with Trinity initially from the beginning of 2018 season.
