Going back to revenue streams briefly, I was in a discussion the other week on a forum page on FB, comparing revenues in SL to NRL. Away from the sponsorship and advertising deals that are bigger than ours, they make a lot of money from casinos and gaming etc.
I spoke to a mate of mine who has strong links with Penrith, and their memberships clubs has about 1000 slots. That is food for thought as to how much that brings in.

Prior to it becoming the Wakefield Theatre Club it was the Wakefield Trinity Social Club. I was only young myself so you can see know long ago it was bu I recall that it was supposed to be like the Aussie League Clubs with slots and gambling but I think it was prevented by the gaming laws at the time. It failed and was sold and became the Theatre Club.
