| From what I here BJB is very happy at Trinity, and we are an evolving club.
He's moved for the money before and that didn't work out that well for him.
I'm sure if our gates were better MC would be happy to match what others are prepared to pay for him, but he has to be realistic and pay no more than we can afford.
That said we are blessed with talent and speed in the backs and we have some talent coming through the academy/junior ranks.

| Quote altofts wildcat="altofts wildcat"Would like to keep him but i doubt that would come cheap, he is not worth breaking the bank to the detriment to other areas of the squad to keep but if we can work out a deal that suits both parties then i would be very happy.'"
Don't think any player is worth literally breaking the bank for but BJB has become a match winner on a level to Tom Johnstone [uat the moment[/u. Some of his tries are unique to his speed and athleticism.
Maybe MCB could replace him and I know we can't compete financially with the bigger clubs (all 11 of 'em ) but I hope we don't just give him up.

| IF he is so heavily sought after and it's easy to see why, based on his finishing this season, we will struggle like hell to keep hold of him.
The only advantage for him at Wakey is pretty much guaranteed first team rugby, playing in a winning team and the playing environment (which appears to be excellent).
If it's solely down to pound notes then, we cant compete but, like many other's he's playing great rugby here and that may not be the case elsewhere. Salford didn't seem right for him and it may be the same elsewhere.
On the plus side, we are blessed with our best range of three quarters for years and we're not short on options but, I'm sure that everyone would want him to stay

My thoughts too. Last season he didn't seem like a Wakefield player but he seems to have settled now and is a great finisher.

| Rumours of Hull being interested are due to strong rumours that Fonua will be going back to the NRL. Massive loss for us if true, and I am not sure there is a winger in SL that brings what he does for us - fantastic yardage from kick returns, great handling ability and quick play the ball. Maybe Jerry McG at Huddersfield but cannot see him leaving

| Perhaps he may consider coming to Leigh? Apparently he likes the 'stage' here, to showcase his talents!

| Today's League Express confirms Hull's interest along with Catalans, but didn't he say the other week that he was really enjoying his time here and wanted to stay ??

| If the club wants to move forward then we need to start hanging on to our best performers.

Problems arise when the full team are playing well week in week out. I could list a dozen players who I would hate us to lose. MC, JK and CC have to prioritise and simultaneously balance the books and the squad.

Totally agree Wollo, I'm sick of repeating myself but the problem with Wakefield playing well is that all the players are in the shop window, it makes my blood boil when I hear rumours that players are going to whoever, players nobody else wanted who , with Wakefield's management, have shone with us. I hope we can retain all but money talks.
