Yes if you view last night in isolation we had a shocking twenty minutes I agree. However over the season so far the improvement has been a bit of a highlight to me. Our goal line defence won us the game against Saints and to a degree Salford and it was absolutely superb against Hull.
Yes it's not there yet but it's not bad IMHO.
The let down for me is silly of poorly executed plays. Grix silly kick on the third. Even if that had worked what was the net gain! Or Chester's silly decision to go for two! It wasn't a certain two points and even if it had of been I'm not sure it was worth it, Time and time gain it's the basics we get wrong though more so against Leeds than last night.
That said at least we didn't kick it straight over the dead ball line like the Leigh player did on the second, now that was a brain fart
Sorry but our goal line defence was shocking in the first half last night and they looked like scoring every time they were close to our line. What we did better in the second half was,in general, keep them out of our 20. That coupled with more intensity and moving the ball quicker won us the game.

That's not what Vasty said. We have had long stretches of great goal line defense. We are not bad at it at all.
However yes when it's not been right we've let soft toys in.
We dominated them and were on the front foot 90% of the second half and we were in command playing a tiring team and looked as though we could score a try whenever we were 25 yards/ 20metres from their try line. i could not understand after a sustained spell of pressure in the Leigh half the going for goal and 2 points when given a penalty just 5 to 10 yards from their line near to touch and only 4 points in front. the penalty kick attempt drifted wide and it was caught and run out by Leigh, it could have cost us the game if Leigh hadn't been so knackered with all the defence they were having to do in the second half.
