Quote: bellycouldtackle "They do, it was towards the end of 2015 season when the directors were getting stick for not spending money on players, marketing, the ground, not reducing ticket prices, not letting students in for free etc etc that MC answered criticism, I think it was an audience with evening, and he gave out a few facts. I seem to remember at about the same time he also went to meet supporters in Normy and they reported that the directors were financing the losses. I forget the split of the loans but I think there were two directors MC and CB plus another supporter who was not a director but gave time and money to see the club survive. I think that accounts will be available on line for at least one of the years that MC has owned and financed the club which will back up my hazy memory. As I say thank goodness for MC and his pals, yes they are there to be shot at by us numpties regarding signing this player and that player etc etc but when it comes to hard cash on the table they have maned up and that for me takes guts. The easy option after the catastrophic shambles that Glover left the club in would have simply been to walk.'"
Wasn't the reason that MC didn't or couldn't walk, was that he as the accountant in the Glover era and publicly came out and said he hadn't done his job properly?
Shows he's got some morals.
As for the debt to directors, isn't this how most sports clubs operate?
You put a bit in to even things up and before you know it, it turns into a figure that has been mentioned.
The club is the most stable it's been in a long time but will be interesting to see what happens with the supposed needed improvements.
