| Quote Eastern Wildcat="Eastern Wildcat"We really don't want Ryan Bailey do we.
Since he left Leeds, he's had more clubs than Rory McIlroy.
To me, when that happens with a player, something just doesn't sit right'"
I don't think anything has ever sat right with Bailey.
He's not the type of player we want to be bringing in, as the last thing we would want to happen is for something to have a detriment on team morale. However, not to sound hypocritical of my statement, he does have the fire in his belly, so maybe if Chester takes a gamble he could use that to his advantage.

| Apart from breaking from the scrum early once, I thought Bailey had a pretty solid Grand Final. Who thought Richard Moore would ever come back off the building sites when Kear talked him into turning over a new leaf?

| A couple of years ago, I'd have been totally against Bailey - but what he has done wrong in his nomadic spell since leaving Leeds? He's a pretty straightforward prop who runs in hard and appears to have erased the cheap shot thuggery from his game. Wouldn't be a bad shout on a one year deal - he's probably got more big game experience than our entire squad put together.

Couldn't agree more. Worth a shot on the right kind of deal.

| I wouldn't want Bailey anywhere near Wakefield Trinity, he's lived a charmed existence throughout his career and offers nothing.

| I'd take Bailey in a heart beat. Steady prop at his peak age. As TRB says Kear likes his props old and mean and I'm feeling CC feels the same. I agree because I tend to think that players like Bailey at clubs like ours either rise to the challeng or fail miserably - thankfully in our case the latter is rare it's worth the risk imho.
Funny but what baffles me is that any NRL has been or never was is seen as great on here and many on here are happy to take a punt on an unproven like Cox. Yet a player with Bailleys CV is sneered at based on his perceived personality which frankly is a fairly common one in RL - we really are a snobby set of fans. Some of you need to accept that we are not ordering from the fine dining menu, we are egg and chips which can in its own way be tasty.
Someone please explain to belly what egg and chips are!

Rather arrogant of you to make assumptions on how others make judgements on players, I'm happy to assess Bailey based on his playing ability and not the pantomime persona he has. I think I'm entitled to that opinion without being diminished by some other poster who seems to think he knows better.

God almighty that's rich coming from you the guy who constantly tells us how important he is in the game behind his secret identity - jeez talk about give it but can't take it .
Why is it diminishing your opinion or being arrogant, you may be right as regards Bailey but you may be WRONG- either way some of the NRL players who get mentioned on here have barely played in recent years - ditto Cox, I'm not against the lad but then I've not seen much of him.
Finally back to the arrogant thing - you dismiss Bailey as having lived a charmed life - how arrogant is that even for the worlds most exper ex-coach.
Try not to be so thin skinned.

Not quite sure where you get the idea that I think I'm important in the game, it's certainly not from me and I'd like to see some examples of where I've told people that.
I'm happy in my ability to judge players just as I assume you're happy in yours, the difference between us is I make my thoughts known but stop well short of judging and rubbishing everyone else's, I don't feel the need.
"Secret identity"?
I have a user name like just about everyone else on here, wtf are you talking about?
