I don't think Kelly is what we need. I like him, and wouldn't turn him down but I'd be looking for a young Finn to partner Miller for the long term.
I think Kelly and Miller will get in each others way.

If we signed Kelly, either Finn, Miller or Kelly would be sat with the coach, on the side lines.
As you say, we either need a youngster to bring on, that can cover the halves or a McShane type player but, I cant see
anyone wanting to come and wait in the wings until we get an injury or suspension, other than a youngster with something to prove.

I can't see the value in Kelly as it stands - he's too much like Miller; we need a replacement for the ageing Finn - and Kelly definitely isn't that.

You cannot go into a season with just two recognised halfbacks. Scott Moore is enjoying a rich vein of form at hooker (when he is playing). He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a halfback spot.

If we could get him, Ryan Hampshire would not be a bad call. Let him learn of Finn for a season.

Up until the Widnes game I'd have disagreed with you as I thought he's calmed down - but sadly Moore is to explosive to go into the 6 or 7 role. You can afford to lose your no9 in a game (just) but your 6 or 7 no.

Kelly signing for next season is a done deal, as is Fafita for this.

Id rather a young english halfback to learn from Finn for next season and then take the reigns the season after.
Think we are still a good 3/4, halfback and maybe 1-2 big props short of being a really really good team!
