So how long would he be off 1st team ready? And what position ? I know he's scored a fair few tries in U19

He's 17, don't know whether that's a nearly 18 or a just turned 17. Either way I'd be surprised to see him in the first team for another two years or so.

I actually thought he was just 18, he played in the same team as one on my lads as a junior at Crigg and my lad is 18 in 2 weeks and thought batchy was older than him so could be wrong, at Crigg he played 6/7 and 13 with the odd stint at 1 but I would say his best position is 13 which is where I think he's played mostly and scored for the U19's

Just wondered if he was the 3rd half we were looking for to replace fynn eventually

Well mr Chester did used to coach our open age and he lives in Crigg these days so there's a defo strong Crigg connection, maybe they ought to come and have a look at some more of the players we have, I feel that we have some very good young talent up there at the moment
