Is it also against their faith to pay taxes?i.e don't pay in just take out. |

As someone who used to work and live in Middle East, correct it is against Islam to charge interest but this is more than compensated with bank "charges". That is how Islamic banks make money. It may be an "interest" free loan but the total cost of the loan is more than that borrowed, if you get my gist. |

Apparently If the Mosque developers and Rowley are successful with the bid and agree the purchase of BV then the council are confident that the new community facilities that will be built alongside the Mosque will comply with the need for ` leisure ` facilities and circumvent any existing covenants on BV.
Add to that I cannot for the life of me see our directors keeping the club in Wakefield if Rowley gets her wish.

Well wouldn't it be fantastic news for the people of Agbrigg -another mosque!
The ultimate insult in my opinion if that comes off and yet more proof, if we need it, that we will stand for anything in this country.

I would guess they rent would rise again sharply at the next annual review and make it in MC's eyes untenable. Once we move out of the area voluntarily though then it weakens our case regarding the planning restrictions.
Lets hope it doesn't come to that and we are the winning bid. |

The biggest word there is IF. Surely even our council after messing the section 106 up wouldn't back at mosque been built and bypass the existing covenants on Belle Vue unless it's part of a bigger picture ie releasing funds for Newmarket or community stadium elsewhere in the City. All ifs and buts until we see something official |

It's the bowling alley that is the proposed new Mosque. The two bits of land are totally separate. Nobody else is interested in the Rugby Ground bit. |

If the building of a council supported mosque comes off at the expense of the tradition and heritage that is Trinity ,it really will reflect the sad state our country is in. I am no racist but believe in fairness and not privileges for certain sectors of society.If I get banned from this forum so be it. Too long in the tooth to care.

Well hopefully our bid York Court Club/trust in conjunction with the council is a good one and won't be refused, we will see how see how serious the bids were and are we seriously about a community stadium at Belle Vue or will it be Newmarket
