| Well done to Michael Carter, I think you've made a great decision in quick time, which is what was needed.
I feel that Chris Chester was unfairly sacked from Hull KR and wasn't given enough time this season. It wasn't his fault the team had, and still does have such a large number of injuries especially in key areas. He was successful in his time at KR and had the respect of the team (I think they may regret getting rid of him). Being a Wakefield lad, he wears his heart on his sleeve and breathes Trinity so I am sure he will do his best for the club, because he cares. If an unknown or Aussie came across, it would just be a pay day to them, they wouldn't have the passion which Chris has got.
Hoping he gets some strict training systems in place, and has the guts to put the lazy players in their place. There are too many in the team who can't be bothered and think they can keep getting paid their thousands per month for just turning up, its not good enough. For the everyday fan who spends their hard earnt money on being loyal to the club it is not acceptable to not try your very best every time they put on the shirt. The should prove their worth and play with pride and passion, and hope that CC will bring that out of them. Those who don't want to, get rid of em and lets see a team that actually wants to play.
Very pleased that John Kear will be coming back to Wakefield next year, and hope that the club is on the up by then. With his knowledge and experience I think he and CC will make a great team, and with MC backing I see a rosier future.
Good luck Chris, sure you will have the backing of alot of fans.

He looks great on youtube, in fact if he played like that in SL he'd be far and away the best H/B in the comp.
However he won't, they never do, certainly not at basement clubs like our or not anymore they don't. I can't explain it, if he played on one leg he'd be better than Miller but he'll just go through the motions and ultimately dissapoint and at the same time stunt the development of a English player. One who won't have the same ability but will at least try.
There is a reason these players end up in SL - they are one or two season wonders, and once they lose their desire they never seem to get it back, especially playing mercenary RL for a team in a country they don't give a stuff about. Some Aussies do good, but they would do well anywhere. I used to believe in giving second chances to these NRL players because surely they had to be good enough for SL but I can't think of the last one we or anyone else got who turned it around. I'd have to go as far back as Obst and BJ for that though I may be forgetting someone.
I'm just sick of them, you might as well give Mattie Wildie, Cain Southernwood or Gareth Moore another go at least they have a point to prove.

| Lauitiiti was good for Wakey for a number of seasons...think Arona and Tupou have been pretty good so far as well.
I can see your point about the club trying to develop their own/local players who have a strong affinity with the club and the area. Hope Jowitt plays tonight!

| Going back to the possible new signing
I wouldnt really want another three quarter at this stage, as we already have too many.
Someone mentioned Chisolm, I would go with that.
I wonder if toward the end of the season any decent Batley players may move with Kear, such as Brambani

| Brambami has a successful business so he won't be playing full time anywhere. Southernwood is starting to realise his potential alongside him. Ulugia is playing in his proper position of centre and is one of the best in the championship. Dave Scott just lacks size to make the step up but he's an outstanding full back. Alex Rowe, James Brown and Keegan Hirst are monsters, Rowe is 31 though so too late for him really. Ainscough is back to his best on the wing and looks extremely strong. Grady at Dewsbury is another good centre and Matt Groat is a very strong prop. Rhys Williams is playing out of his skin at London along with Jack Bussey and illies Macani has loads of potential. Jack Ormomdroyd at Fev and Mitch Clarke at Bradford look very strong and David Hewitt at Sheffield is a young half back with an excellent kicking game. Not seen much of the Cumbrian sides or Oldham and Swinton. Leigh obviously have bags of talent but it's not quite happening for them at the moment. There's loads of talent in the championship hopefully more will be picked up.
