| All very depressing once again, i thought with Smith in charge we could have been building a future but it appears it was built on sand again. It seems this club has a major attitude problem from top to bottom and it is all leading to it heading in one direction, down. MC has balanced the books yes which is an achievement in its own right (and should be thanked by all for that) but by god we need a change and some serious investment from somewhere. He nearly called it quits at the end of last season, maybe for the sake of his own health he should have. Mr Carter and his sidekick has served their purpose but you get the feeling it is now or never for the club. He said he took it on to try and recoup some of the money he'd put in, well it's time to cut those losses and get actively looking for a buyer. Without somebody with deep pockets i fear we are done for as a top flight club and i'm sure as an intelligent man he must know that.
All that said please not Poskitt and his fake Sheik mate. They are bad news.

| Quote vastman="vastman"It's a bl**dy mess I know that - who's at fault I no longer care.
Last week I hadthe pleasure of chatting to Mopsey who like most of us on here is far more reasonable in the flesh so to speak.
He said two things that stuck in my head and remember this was before Smith left.
He said he's sick of turning up for matches without hope - how true is that.
He also said that if Trinity were a dog they would have put it down by now (or something very similar) - again you have to wonder.
For me it's not just on the field, in some ways we have had a better time of it than say Widnes or Salford for example (in recent times). But when you ad on the endless cost cutting, selling of even the most average of players, the financial scandals, the endless ground scenario and the now unforgiveable state BV is in then you realise how badly as fans we have been treated. Salford and Widnes have been crap for years however both are at last starting to flourish and the great hope their fans have is that with a bit of nous and a bit of luck they might taste some sucess.
Anybody think we ever will?
I hope not to die young but at 53 I can't see it happening in my lifetime. What I can see is me outliving the club.'"
I would like to comment on a few points
1. Regarding fault yes its hard to judge, but regarding responsibility the buck always has to stop with the top man.
2. I think the vet will arrive soon disguised as an RL official. The club and everything about it are an embarrassment to SL and many people are starting to say that. I can't see the RFL putting up with us for much longer.
3. I can give you 10 years so I even have less chance than you. However I was lucky enough to see some special years of this
club and I suppose that's something to be thankful for.

| Well I'm a lot nearer 60 than 50 and if I'm honest I don't see me going to a Grand/Wembley final even if I follow in my mums side of the family who most lived to a big age mid 90s. I think this next Coach has to be bang on or I fear the club will slide out of SL and could tumble even further down. Alas I don't see a sugar daddy as he would have been with the club now I will do the Lotto on Tuesday but like Wakey the odds are against me

Can I have that last bit again, in English please!
It's got nothing to do with age fella and everything to do with spouting absolute rubbish (in your case) and bile (in Brian Smiths).
please give it rest with the ridiculous in my day you'd be "stretchered out" and "you'd be spitting blood" boasts, you sound like Uncle Albert from Only fools and horses.

interesting particularly this bit.
Quote Wakefield No 1“He wanted to take over the club, but could not come up with any feasible, written business plan,” Carter said. “It was all ‘let me take over the club’. When we asked for some business plans and a written formal offer, there was never one forthcoming. If you are making an offer to buy a business you’d expect to see that in writing. He did want to take over the whole place. That was featured in a number of arguments around January time. He did want to take over the entire club, but never came up with anything formal in writing. A lot of arguments centred around that.”
Carter said Jon Flatman, who left his position as Wakefield chief executive earlier this year, had been working alongside Smith on the ex-coach’s proposal. Smith has been critical of the way Wildcats are run in a series of posts on social media since his sudden departure."

Who the hell is Jon Flatman?'"
He's a much travelled Rugby administrator who's spent time at London Scholars and Hull FC to name but two.
