Quote vastman="vastman"It's a bl**dy mess I know that - who's at fault I no longer care.
Last week I hadthe pleasure of chatting to Mopsey who like most of us on here is far more reasonable in the flesh so to speak.
He said two things that stuck in my head and remember this was before Smith left.
He said he's sick of turning up for matches without hope - how true is that.
He also said that if Trinity were a dog they would have put it down by now (or something very similar) - again you have to wonder.
For me it's not just on the field, in some ways we have had a better time of it than say Widnes or Salford for example (in recent times). But when you ad on the endless cost cutting, selling of even the most average of players, the financial scandals, the endless ground scenario and the now unforgiveable state BV is in then you realise how badly as fans we have been treated. Salford and Widnes have been crap for years however both are at last starting to flourish and the great hope their fans have is that with a bit of nous and a bit of luck they might taste some sucess.
Anybody think we ever will?
I hope not to die young but at 53 I can't see it happening in my lifetime. What I can see is me outliving the club.'"
I would like to comment on a few points
1. Regarding fault yes its hard to judge, but regarding responsibility the buck always has to stop with the top man.
2. I think the vet will arrive soon disguised as an RL official. The club and everything about it are an embarrassment to SL and many people are starting to say that. I can't see the RFL putting up with us for much longer.
3. I can give you 10 years so I even have less chance than you. However I was lucky enough to see some special years of this
club and I suppose that's something to be thankful for.
