Thinking about it my choice would be Ryan Sheridan. He would come from a team with a simular budget and set up . He would have a very healthy squad to work with and hopefully mould into a hard working team . He's been with Powell at cas and Featherstone and look how both have performed under them . Really hope he is one of the candidates

Like everybody I was flat yesterday but after the press conference today and MC publicly saying they have had a frosty relationship for nearly 3 months makes me understand how players will have reacted to this. You cannot hide such a relationship problem and while I thank him (BS) for his efforts at WTW and especially in the MPG its now time to move on and I have to admit I am quite excited at the fact that there are 15 people wanting the post. we are a name that's synonymous with Super League and long may this continue.

I don't disagree with you in terms of his quality, but for me Wakefield need an experienced coach.
Webster and Agar proved that we are not the place for a first time head coach. We need someone who has some experience, even if at the lower level.
Kear and Morrison, and to a lesser extent Marshall and Harrison all fit the bill for me.

I guess it does depend on whether Smith talks well of us or lays into the setup we have. it may put the better applicants off .

I think we have gone for a short fix too many times . Give Sheridan time to build a team that can compete week in week out and not just win a one off big game. He has served a very long apprenticeship and successful one under Powell. Please MC choose someone like him and give him time look at Widnes with Betts

Trouble is clubs like Wakefield don’t have the luxury of time like Widnes had due to the threat of relegation. You need to win in the short term to stay up and that means long term planning has to take a hit as it's hard to find money for both.

One of the many reasons the Bulls went down was due to us replacing good players with mediocre ones and putting money into the juniors. By the time the juniors came through we had to sell the good ones to make ends meet so we ended not able to compete.

1st choice - Demetriou
2nd choice - Kear
3rd choice - Rowley
4th choice - Glenn Morisson

They may have more ambition than Carter tho who is happy to see us ticking along with averageness

Would also give Chester a go Wakey lad and did a good job last year we couldn't do much worse.

Great that he's a Wakey fan but, it matters not where they are from, it only matters that they can help the club progress.

Chester went from an assistant coach straight into a head coach role at a super league club, with no step down to the championship to be a head coach.

In that time, Hull KR have been more successful than us, by far. I think they narrowly missed out on the top 8 in 2014 and 2015. He has also taken them to Wembley.

On top of that, he is a Wakey lad, a Wakey fan, and is immediately available.

I think he has been very unfortunate has Chester, given the injuries Hull K R have had so far.

I think to bring in Chester to the end of the season at least, would be a good move.
